Maria Valtorta – Notebooks - February 9, 1946:
Vision of the Immaculate Virgin Mary.
Last night, while I was suffering greatly, in a true agony of the cross between the sixth and ninth hour, I had a singular vision. I saw a young Servite monk, not excessively tall... rather slender, but not gaunt or ill-looking. He reminded me a little of Father Pennoni, but he had no glasses or physical defects. Was he already a priest or just a novice? I don't know. I saw him face to face, dressed in the habit, without his cloak.
Was he dead or in ecstasy? I don't know. I saw him absorbed, lifted from the ground by a very bright ray that descended, just a little obliquely, from the Virgin Mary, from the breast of the Virgin Mary who, dressed in white and glorious, appeared from the heights of Heaven to call her servant to herself. The Virgin, in every way similar to Sister M. Catherine Labouré's Immaculate Conception, had no other rays than the one that erupted from her breast, at the level of the Immaculate Heart. I saw her in profile, and therefore I cannot say whether her Sacred Heart was visible.
I saw her glorious beauty and the powerful light of the ray of her Heart, descending from above upon the Servite. He seemed drawn by it... and ascended, half-closing his eyes every now and then... and casting a gaze of inexpressible love upon Mary. Then he closed them again, remaining with an ecstatic smile on his face. His hands were crossed on his chest, his fingers pointing toward his shoulders. From these times? From other centuries? I don't know. Was there any blessed of the Order particularly devoted to the Immaculate Heart of Mary? Has a young novice or priest of the Order, died in recent days? I know nothing.
I tell you what I saw. The place where the scene seemed to take place... seemed to be a Church, in the minor nave on the right, near a chapel of which I could only see the entrance. The Virgin, however... seemed to be directly above the main altar... but high up, high up, in Heaven.

Maria Valtorta – Quaderni - 9 febbraio 1946:
Non so.
Era morto o era in estasi? Non so.
Non so. Non so niente.
