Flavia Santi - poemi n. 11

Flavia Santi - poem n. 11 - Surprise!

Wings suspended, in the acrid country.

The little girl wipes her tears… with the petals in the sun.

Applications or mortgages.

In the lake... a chase of swallows... towards sunset... looking for the night.

Flavia Santi - poesia n. 11 - Sorpresa!

Ali sospese, nell’acre paese.
La bimba asciuga le lacrime… con i petali nel sole.
Domande o ipoteche.
Nel lago… un rincorrersi di rondini… verso il tramonto… cercando la notte.

Music: P. Principe - Lyrics: Flavia Santi

The song "Fawn" was arranged by Alberto Radius and Stefano Previsti.

FAWN

Music: P. Principe - Lyrics: Flavia Santi

There you are, laughing for me.

There you are, who hate... why?

Inside your eyes you know that there is... a light that’s emptier than ever.

Now you’re above that river… filled by my tears.

About that fawn that you want… only for your own needs.

Inside your yes... I have chains now.

Away from here... I’ll open my wings.

Behind the mirror, my image is no longer there.

Behind your glance, only chains and nothing more.

You just look at me outside, and then… your hands on me.

You circuit my skin and then... warm wind you don’t give.

Maybe you don't want to realize; not only matter you are.

There’s a soul with two wings, behind the bars you have got.

As a naive fawn you are, even if the strong you do.

Run away from my days… the ones you desire.

Nothing more, than what you’re now.

How many veils, behind my soul.

Living in this life again… what's wrong?

Being able to tell you, what I think about you.

Big fawn eyes you have... like a flower you want me.

Bitter honey inside your dreams... the ones you never have.

How many lives you’ve got.

Change your mask whenever you want.

Behind the lenses of reality... your tired hand is already there.

CERBIATTO

Musica: P. Principe – Testo: Flavia Santi

Ci sei tu, che ridi per me.
Ci sei tu che odi… perché.
Dentro i tuoi occhi ora sai che c’è… luce più vuota che mai.

Sopra quel fiume tu ora sei.
Sono mie lacrime, sai.
Di quel cerbiatto che tu vuoi.
Solo per bisogni tuoi.
Dentro i tuoi sì… io catene ora ho.

Do you think that's all...?

Then, wait until you meet Atron, a giant kangaroo, who is none other than the steed of the brave Captain Artesio. And what about the huge enchanted swan Taripan, which carries the Princess Florjan on its back?

In addition to the rest, you’ll surely be eager to see the marvelous luminescent statues, and the splendid but disturbing Centrilla, which instead of her hands… has huge claws.

And again... puzzles, deceptions, arcane and multiple spells... will lead you into a suggestive world, where drawings come to life... and ghosts are covered with brushwood!

So... are you sure you have a transparent heart, which is able to fly... on the wings of the imagination?

-----------------------------------------------------

Briefly Extract of the Fable:

Once upon a time, in a very powerful Kingdom called Vanohen, there was a Monarch named Lumeo. The Monarch had a daughter named Florjan, whom no one proposed to marry, since she was really ugly and unattractive. In any case, the Monarch Lumeo, even if disconsolate, didn’t lose heart. And so, every twelve months, the Monarch tried to introduce the Princess, to young suitors.

Florjan was also famous, for the simple reason, that everyone could see her heart formed from wax. In short, her crystal chest made it possible to observe her heart; which was completely composed of a light and transparent patina of wax... and it was also positioned in the center of her chest. Princess Florjan's heart, was so similar to crystal, that one could even glimpse what was inside it. Usually, all people could saw, a graceful and lively tiny flame.

It should be added, that all the wonderful and elegant dresses of the Princess, were created in such a way as to allow a hem of her dress, to drop. All this, to be able to admire Florjan's heart of wax, without leaving her private parts uncovered.

To the insistent questions of the suitors, as to why the Princess had a heart of wax, the Monarch Lumeo replied, that perhaps the reason was to be found in their ancestors; some of whom had been esteemed sorcerers.

In any case, the suitors arrived in large numbers in the presence of the Monarch, more to observe that strange anomaly of Princess Florjan, than for anything else. In fact, the Florjan's heart of wax, had now become a legend in all neighboring and non-neighboring Kingdoms. But unfortunately, the bold young men, after contemplating Florjan's dreadful face... disappeared, uttering numerous excuses.

Princess Florjan had always suffered from her ugliness, but over the time she no longer paid much attention to it. Only recently did Florjan feel a spasm in her heart, as she fell in love with Artesio... who was none other, than the Captain of her father's army.

Unlike Princess Florjan, Artesio was truly a beautiful boy. It was no coincidence, that he was always surrounded by many girls and maidens; who boldly tried in every way to win his heart. However, the young Captain still didn’t think about taking a wife, since according to him...

------------

Falea, however, fluttering nervously, wondered what was the meaning of the word "golgi" ...seen and considered that the beautiful Lady, hadn’t yet wanted to clarify. But indeed, with every question on that subject, Centrilla eclipsed everything by talking about something else.

But the fairy Falea didn’t give up. And that same night, while the Captain and the kangaroo Atron, snored in their room... she decided to flit around the huge complex of diamond rocks, looking for some answers.

Falea after a short journey, heard a strange noise coming from a long and tormenting staircase, which descended through the dungeons of one of the fortresses. With dexterity, Falea hovered in the direction of that unusual buzz... until she reached a huge iron door, studded with diadems and sapphires. And thanks to her small stature, Falea was able to quickly get through the lock.

And then, she saw them… some big ruby red shells that hung on the walls, and even on the ceiling. Unexpectedly, the largest of the shells opened… letting see Centrilla nibbling with relish, a tray full of maggots, flies, worms and moths. But the scariest thing… was that from the waist down… Centrilla's body under her eyes, was slowly turning into a giant crab. In short, the upper part of Centrilla's body, was of a beautiful and attractive Lady... while from the waist down, four exorbitant crustacean paws could be seen. Not to mention the Lady's hands... which suddenly became two huge claws, which wisely grabbed some strange larvae, and then carried them voraciously, into her mouth.

Falea staring at that repulsive scene, shocked… remained suspended in the air.

Suddenly, like a bolt from the blue, Falea remembered what the word "golgi" meant. In short, GOLGI was a magic word, that meant "crustacean". And before Falea could only say a single word... Centrilla turned her gaze towards the tiny fairy; then with a biting smile, ordered her to come closer. Suddenly, all the other huge shells also opened, giving a glimpse of the giant and ravenous crabs.

At that sight, the fairy Falea took off a very fast flight in the opposite direction to the Lady of the Golgi; and she ran away through the lock of the iron gate…

------------

…When they arrived in the audience hall, they brought a giant painting depicting a Lady with the features of a huge and statuesque Queen of the warrior bees... with hundreds of strange and large warrior bees in tow. The tiny fairy immediately, understood that the Duke wanted to create an army of his own.

And so... Falea in spite of her, with a gesture of her tiny hand... she let out a magical light, that brought to life the powerful Queen bee called Apekar, and her enormous and very dreadful warrior bees.

Apekar was really awful… in fact she was covered in a streaked patina of yellow and black, and hers huge wings were hooked. But the truly disturbing fact, was her grim and piercing gaze. In short, it was very clear that Apekar was an imperturbable, perfidious and evil warrior. Her power is soon understood, which consisted of hitting the victims, with a stinger that was positioned on her forehead. The frightening sting came out from Apekar's forehead, only when she wanted it; and she had the power to turn anyone struck, into ghosts. While the terrible and huge warrior bees, possessed the ability to make the victims faint for a few moments, pierced by their stingers.

Both the painter Lisarto and the Duke Riosmo, as soon as they saw Apekar with her army of huge warrior bees… they gave a biting grin. Later without any warning, Duke Riosmo ordered at the warrior bees to strike with their powerful quills, all the guardians and soldiers of the castle. All this, precisely to avoid potential insurrections.

Of course, the warriors tried in every way to defend themselves, or at least escape from those terrible bees. But as you can well imagine... the warrior bees in a short time, defeated all the fighters of the former Monarch Lumeo. In fact, the huge bees, having the ability to fly, had a noticeable advantage… and they hit the warriors more quickly with their stingers; making them pass out.

The statuary Apekar in all that upheaval, waiting to receive orders from the Duke, stared her bees fighting with an icy expression.

Finally, Duke Riosmo ordered Apekar to strike with her sting, all the fainted fighters; with the intention of making them ghosts. Indeed, when they became ghosts, the soldiers were unable to react; since they could no longer grab weapons or armor... but were only able to soar awkwardly in the air.

Falea tried in every way, to make Duke Riosmo think about it; telling him, to have mercy on them. But the Duke, supported by the painter Lisarto, didn’t give up in the least. And so, the terrible Apekar, made all the fainted warriors become ghosts. Later, when the warriors recovered, Apekar threatened them with the assertion that if they didn’t do as she said, she would make everyone in their families… into ghosts. In this way, Apekar forced all the warriors, to flit in the vicinity of some abandoned mines.

A few days passed, and the tiny fairy Falea didn’t know how to come to an end that terrible nightmare. Her only consolation, was…

------------

…In all honesty, the young Captain no longer understood anything; and he wondered why Princess Florjan didn’t want to be pulled out, of that gloomy and inaccessible place. And after making sure, that his kangaroo friend was all right, Artesio quickly resumed his journey.

Finally, after a long wanderings, Artesio came to a narrow and dark cove, where in the half-light he recognized Princess Florjan, side by side with his swan friend.

Both stared at him, with an unfriendly expression. Without further ado, Artesio asked the Princess, why she was so aggressive; after all… he just wanted to help her out of there.

Florjan without uttering a single word, showed Artesio her heart of wax… where inside it, you could see a large chrysalis, surrounded by numerous and strange filaments of silk. The Princess then, with a sad voice but also full of hatred, declared “Do you understand now, Artesio? My heart is the symbol of what I am... a horrible being! For this reason, no one should see me like this, anymore! Now leave me alone... and go away!" she concluded dryly.

Artesio, not at all troubled by what he had seen and heard, tried to cheer Florjan up, telling that he knew her very well... and that he considered her a sweet and thoughtful girl. The Captain then went on, saying he didn't think she was a horrible person at all.

At those sweet words, Florjan began to cry tears of luminescent wax. Unexpectedly, Artesio took her hand, and gently... led her out of the mine, along with her enchanted swan…

So, what are you waiting for, to enter into the wonderful circus… of fantasy?

-----------------------------------------------------

Briefly Extract of the Fable:

Sady was a black boy of about eight years old, and he had escaped from that horrifying slum called boarding school, because he wanted at all costs, to find his mother. In fact, Sady had never known his mom; while his father had died when he was just two years old. But from what little he had been told, Sady knew that her mother was alive, and that she was wandering around the world; precisely because she loved freedom and independence. In any case, since the death of his father, Sady had been brought by the nurse, inside that ancient boarding school.

But now, Sady was determined to find his mother, across seas and mountains. He thus began to live on alms, wandering through the districts of some citadels. After a few days, Sady made friends with a poor old man who gave alms… performing small circus shows. The old man performed short circus shows, together with a blue pig called Bacco, and a lively indigo-colored goat, called Violarr.

The circus act performed in the districts, was really enjoyable. In fact, the old man could be observed playing a tiny flute, while the pig Bacco performed a short ballet and funny somersaults... until he jumped up with a sudden leap, on the back of the Violarr goat. Then the little pig, began to dance happily on the goat's back. But not only that... because also the goat, it began to do an amusing ballet.

In short, even if the performance was simple and modest... it attracted the sympathy and attention of passers-by, and especially of children…

------------

…Verlena then, began to tell that the Valkyries often went to the surroundings of the castle, as there lived an enormous yellow talking spider, named Brusco. Which, he used to destroy and mess up, everything that was near the huge and notorious castle of him. In practice, Brusco delighted in destroying the forests by burning them, or he threw all the scraps and remains of him, into the river and lake. But that wasn’t all... since the big spider Brusco, overjoyed in making horrible mischief, even towards all those who came under fire. Not surprisingly, Brusco lived alone, since he was truly wicked and evil.

Sady was really impressed by that story, and he asked why all this would interest him.

Verlena continued, uttering that if Sady could speak to a Valkyrie, surely she would show him where her mother was… seen and considered that the Valkyries wandered far and wide, all over the world. And also the Valkyries, were able to travel through immense spaces, in a short time.

"Okay... keep going" said the little Blackid, more and more intrigued.

Verlena fervently continued, telling that Brusco often caused disasters and disorders in his territories, just to have fun in scrutinizing the Valkyries; which diligently put order and balance. In short, the devious Brusco, as well as perfidious was also cynical. Anyway, just because of all the countless crimes that Brusco committed... the Valkyries stayed for long periods in those areas, just to make those places better and more liveable.

The Valkyries, however, had a peculiarity... they were invisible to humans. And to be able to spot them, you had to drink a potion, that only Brusco possessed. In fact, Brusco was a skilled alchemist and herbalist, and he knew how to mix magical herbs, with rare quartz powders, with dexterity…

------------

Cedro laughed at that statement; then… after a sudden shrug, he started to go away with Verlena... which in the meantime, became partly snake.

As soon as the Valkyrie realized, that she had been mocked and rejected, for a snake woman… she was furious as never before. And so, she began to grow enormous plants with multiple shapes very quickly, with the intent of catching the two lovers.

The warning screams uttered by Sady and Sinea, went unheard.

The Valkyrie Vyrjan, stared at Sady and Sinea with hatred... then suddenly numerous and enormous roots, grabbed Sady and Sinea by the ankles; preventing them from moving. In all that confusion, the dwarf python Pjtos slipped into Sady's pocket, and all shaking… never moved from there.

Meanwhile, unlikely... numerous plants with sharp thorns, grew out of all proportion, chasing the two fugitives. Verlena, now entirely become a huge python, tried to avoid them... and often she succeeded. But the plants were incredibly fast… and in fact sometimes they hit Verlena hard, making her to stagger. While Cedro, being a very skilled trapeze artist, whenever a mighty branch tried to hit him… he somehow managed to jump around it, and even use it as a stepping stone to escape.

But the Valkyrie Vyrjan the more time passed, the more combative and impetuous she became. As a result, she magically made terrifying carnivorous plants come out of the ground, wisely chasing the two lovers.

Suddenly, Cedro leaned on the huge python, which was none other than his beloved Verlena; which seemed to be faster and more dynamic, in avoiding those ravenous plants.

The long and frantic run, ended when the two unfortunates, reached the shores of a huge lake. And only there, they didn’t know what to do... because behind them, many huge carnivorous plants… were about to arrive.

Verlena returned to her human form; while Cedro sensing their end... with tears in his eyes... hugged her.

The Valkyrie of the plants, didn’t delay hers appearance... and unexpectedly both Cedro and Verlena, felt a strange tingling at their feet. And always embraced, they did nothing but close their eyes... while a dense and fast patina of fairy moss, began to completely cover their bodies.

When all was finished, nothing remained… but two statues made of fairy moss; that reproduced the two lovers... close to each other.

Vyrjan, gave a bitter grin. Afterward, she promptly returned to Sady and the sweet Sinea, who, still dumbfounded and annihilated, were watching their friends… who had become some austere and grassy statues.

The Valkyrie, after freeing Sady and Sinea from the enormous roots at the ankles, expressed in a firm and resolute voice, that the search for Sady was over. Because her mom from then on… would be her.

The Blackid gasped, without uttering a single word. Afterward, Vyrjan without hesitation went on, asserting that both of them would live in her residence tower; and that the living doll Sinea, would look after Sady during her absence. Sady at that point, began to sob; while Sinea tried to console him, as best she could…

Presentation Fable

This fairy tale, narrates the story of the beautiful Prince Averoro, who falls in love with a Nymph who hides a past full of mysteries. Many of which, are contained in a fairy mirror.

In addition, the Prince will have to deal with a mysterious dwarf Elf called Elpidio, who secretly sneaks into a lake... to re-emerge in a fantasy world.

And how can we forget the terrible Black Magician called Lotusflower, whose face is veiled by a golden mask? Mask that the Black Magician cannot remove, despite her enormous magical powers. And for this reason, Lotusflower is looking for half of a fairy mirror, in all the neighboring kingdoms.

Then? Do you also want to discover, the secrets that lie behind the huge "Gems Barrier"? Do you want to go down the stairs of a wonderful castle, and find out with the Nymph of the Lake, what the enchanted casket contains?

And finally... the brave Prince Averoro, will have to face a terrible jaguar that multiplies to infinity... and then he’ll have to pay attention to Ibris, a spy bat. And what about the imposing Posio octopus, which in a winding tunnel under the shores of an enchanted lake… awaits the Prince to grab it?

If you have recovered from all this... this is the fairytale for you.

-----------------------------------------------------

Briefly Extract of the Fable:

And while curiously he watched that enchanted place... Prince Averoro returned to his human form.

After a few moments, the Prince saw a beautiful blond-haired girl, flying towards him. Averoro immediately, realized that she was the Nymph of the Lake. In fact, she was perfectly identical, to the description he had heard uttered, by the little Elf Elpidio.

Completed the beautiful flight, Fairy Esthel albeit with a little hesitation, introduced herself to the stranger; who returned the greeting with a bow and a delicate kiss of the hand.

Fairy Esthel, after having enunciated her name, introduced the young Prince to her beloved friends... who were none other than the blue panda Ludi, nice and playful. The owl Panora, wise and devoted companion of adventures. And finally, her trusted advisor: the dwarf Elf Elpidio. Who was the only one bothered, by that unexpected encounter. And so it was that, muttering something nervously, the Elf Elpidio went away... closely followed by the gruff turtle Idra.

Fairy Esthel began to make known to the young Prince, her enchanted kingdom. And so she led him to see the wonderful fountains… gushing with an unusual blue phosphorescent liquid. And then again… golden frogs jumping happily between flower and flower. Flying tadpoles that dived with joy, into the huge blue green lake. And what about those silvery and mischievous ladybugs, who fluttered happily… around fragrant cyclamen?

Prince Averoro, in the time spent with the Nymph of the Lake, was surprised to realize that Fairy Esthel had never left that enchanted place. The reason was that the Nymph would have died, if she had crossed the "Gems Barrier". This is because, Fairy Esthel couldn’t sense or feel too strong emotions, such as sadness... except with the consequence of a terrible death.

Besides, Fairy Esthel explained to the Prince, that she knew perfectly the secret passage under the lake, to enter or leave her fairy kingdom. But that there was a very powerful spell, which prevented her from going through the secret tunnel. In addition, the Nymph of the Lake added that she herself had asked at the Dwarf Elf, to bring her those tasty and colorful mushrooms. Because unfortunately, in her realm the mushrooms didn’t exist.

And it’s useless to remember, that with the passage of time... the two fell madly in love. But it had been a long time now; and Averoro had to return to Doranzica, to take the antidote. So it was that Fairy Esthel got to know, that Prince Averoro would never be able to return to her. The reason was simple… the magic potion that made him a dolphin, it could be drunk… once. Otherwise, the Prince would have become a dolphin forever.

Averoro and the Nymph knew very well, that they couldn’t even ask the Elf Elpidio for help. Precisely, because the dwarf Elf was extremely opposed to their meeting. In particular for this reason, Averoro promised himself to find another way to reach her. Assuring Fairy Esthel, that with the help of his friend the Sorceress Logofrena... he would find a solution.

Then, with a lot of sadness in his heart, Averoro took leave of the Nymph...

------------

Meanwhile, in a very distant realm, Lotusflower also known as the terrible Black Magician, for many years she had been searching with breathlessness, the half of a fairy mirror. That's right... a fairy mirror, which would have allowed her to remove her beautiful but terrible golden mask, which covered her face.

In fact, over the years, Lotusflower had come to know, that only by reuniting the fairy mirror in her possession, with the other half missing... she would be able to take off that hated golden mask.

Well... despite her incredible magical power, Lotusflower had never managed to remove the golden mask, which unfortunately covered her face.

And how much the Black Magician suffered in wearing that golden mask, only her closest confidant and her adviser... the judicious and wise snail Sagsa, fully understood her. Indeed, the huge snail Sagsa had had the privilege of observing Lotusflower, trying several times with all her magical forces... to get rid of that hated mask.

Even once, in an attempt to take away the golden mask, the Black Magician was in exasperation... with her long black nails, she had even injured herself on her neck. And she had also lost some strands, of her beautiful black hair.

But that was not all... because frequently, like drops of red-hot fire on a sheet of icy ice... copious tears furrowed that repulsive golden mask.

Lotusflower’s trusted armed forces too, had been looking for many years in all the neighboring and non-neighboring kingdoms, the half of the fairy mirror... but always without any positive result. Among the most loyal warriors of the Black Magician, the bat Ibris and the jaguar Chjra stood vigorously. The peculiarity of the jaguar Chjra, was to multiply his body by a thousand, becoming an army in its own right. While the bat Ibris, was famous for his cunning and astuteness.

In any case, despite the countless failures obtained, Lotusflower didn’t give up. And so... the Black Magician sent again the jaguar Chjra and the bat Ibris, in search of the half of the fairy mirror
